Class News
Dear Classmates,
If anyone had photos taken by former teacher, Mike Knutson, whether a senior picture, engagement pictures, wedding pictures, or family pictures, please contact me to purchase the negatives at a reasonable fee to help fund our 50th reunion.

Class Meeting
Our next class meeting will be held at 2pm, July 20, 2024 during Art In The Park. We will hold this meeting on the east side of the park over by the playground equipment. I'm hearing from some classmates that they would just like to visit and not plan a big party. Let me know your thoughts.
Minutes of the first meeting for our 50th Class Reunion, 22 July 2023
Thank you to Larry, Connie, Ann Jean, Melinda, Charlie and Dan, for coming to the first meeting for our 50th Class Reunion. We enjoyed talking about old times, the changes in Anaconda, and where everyone is.
Our key focus was on finding those who haven’t been to a reunion, or those we don’t have an address for. We will be focusing on this for the next year and meet again at Art in the Park 2024 to begin final planning. We could really use everyone’s help. I will attach a Class Directory and a list of those missing addresses on the website.
This letter will be posted on the class website, anacondaclassof1975.com, and also sent by mail. So, look over the class directory and if you see someone’s address wrong, please get us a new one.
Now, down to business:
1. We have about $2500 in the bank to get things started. We will not be accepting PayPal because of the $2.77 charge for each transaction. Nor will we be accepting Venmo because Glacier Bank does not support them. Before Gloria moved to Minnesota, we changed the bank from Wells Fargo to Glacier Bank, because they closed the Wells Fargo branch here in town. We will go back to check writing. We will accept any donations ahead of time. (Maybe to help someone who wants to come, but does not have the means to do so. We want everyone to come back home in 2025.)
2. If you looked at the website and saw a donation tab, it will not work. I will be taking that off.
3. We think we will set the date of our 50th Class Reunion to the week after Art In the Park in 2025. We’re not sure which weekend that will be, but I will post it as soon as I can get a date from Copper Village Museum. We understand that some will want the reunion to be the same weekend, but if everyone agrees on what we talked about potentially having for the reunion, there may not be time for Art in the Park. We do want to hear your thoughts and the best way to do that is to leave your comments on our Facebook page, Anaconda Class of ’75 (in Anaconooch~), or email at mandswren@gmail.com
4. In 2019, we talked about having the theme of “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” for our 45th reunion, but since that was cancelled. we decided to carry it over to the 50th.
5. Here is a rundown of what we talked about:
Friday evening – Meet and Greet at the Tammany Lounge in the Montana Hotel (formerly the Marcus Daly).
Saturday morning – for those who would like to get up early and golf, it will be up to you to organize that.
Saturday afternoon – noon -3pm A Tour of Anaconda. A lot has changed here in town and we thought everyone would like to see some of the changes, which include: the Courthouse, The Snake Pit (Memorial Gym), the High School, maybe a bar or two, and the Smokestack.
We will then meet at the Washoe Park Pavilion about 1pm for a light lunch and games.
Saturday evening – 6pm Cocktails before dinner
7-8pm Catered dinner at the Elks
8pm-ish Class picture at the Post Office steps.
9-11pm Mingling, dancing, games, and prizes.
Sunday morning – 10am Memorial service with pancake breakfast.
It’s a lot packed into one weekend and we hope we’ve saved enough time for visiting.
Again, please let us know your thoughts on Facebook or email.
Next meeting will be at Art in the Park next year. Where and when will be announced later next spring.
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.
